Privacy and browser-local scenario handling

What happens to scenario inputs, imports, exports, static search requests and hosting information on Strategy Capacity.

Strategy Capacity · 16 October 2026 · Reference edition 1

The workbench calculates in your browser. Its input handling does not send scenario values to a server, external API or analytics endpoint. Imported JSON is read locally and exports are generated locally. Visiting the site still creates ordinary requests to its managed hosting service.

Calculator inputs and local files

Scenario values are held in the current page's memory. The workbench does not save them in localStorage, cookies or an account. JSON import reads the selected file inside the browser; the site does not upload that file. CSV and JSON download controls create files from the current scenario in the browser. You choose where your browser saves them, and the exported files remain your responsibility after download.

Reloading or leaving the page can discard unsaved scenario edits. Your browser, extensions, operating system or device-management software may have their own history, file-access and recovery behavior outside this implementation. Use synthetic or nonconfidential inputs when evaluating the resource. A browser-local calculator is not a substitute for your organisation's information-handling policy.

Hosting and search requests

The pages and static assets are served through Cloudflare. The host can process ordinary connection and request information, such as IP address, requested path and user-agent information, to deliver and protect the service. The publication does not promise that a website visit leaves no logs. Cloudflare describes its own processing in the linked privacy policy.

The site search loads the publication's own static search index and performs matching in the browser. The application does not attach search text, sleeve names, capital amounts or uploaded data to that request. This release includes no application analytics tracker and no server-side scenario database. Any future change to those behaviors should be documented and reviewed before release.

External destinations and corrections

Following a source or inquiry link takes you to another service with its own privacy practices. Some provider links carry fixed publication-level referral parameters. Those parameters identify the referring publication and campaign, not your scenario, holdings, search text or identity. Do not append sensitive information to a URL when sharing results or reporting an error.

This notice describes the released application behavior and is dated 16 October 2026. It does not assert a particular legal status, regulator approval or an independently certified privacy programme. For a privacy concern about this publication, use the contact route identified on the About page and include only the information needed to describe the issue.

Keep in the decision record

  • Scenario arithmetic and file handling run in the browser.
  • Hosting requests and third-party destinations have separate privacy implications.
  • Referral parameters contain publication context, never calculator inputs.
